The 2019 Ram 1500 Longhorn edition is available at Westpointe CDJR — and if you were looking for one more reason to buy it, it was recently named the Southwest Lifestyle Truck of the Year.
Earlier this year, 18 automotive journalists joined forces at the Bondurant Racing School in Chandler, Arizona, to select the car, truck, SUV, and crossover of the year. This occasion marked the first annual Southwest Lifestyle Media Drive. The journalists reviewed a wide range of vehicles, considering aspects like performance, ride comfort, fuel economy, safety technology, and storage solutions. Ultimately, the Ram 1500 Longhorn won in the truck category.
“The Ram 1500 Longhorn really captures the spirit of what the Southwest is all about,” said Becky Antioco, president of the Southwest Lifestyle Media group. “It perfectly handles our rugged landscapes when we’re out exploring, yet is exceedingly comfortable for everyday driving. It’s the perfect mix of luxury, technology and capability, and that’s why it earned our Truck of the Year award.”
You can test drive and purchase the new Ram 1500 in one of five trims (Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn®, and Limited), in one of two cab configurations (Crew Cab and Quad Cab), in one of two box lengths (6’4” and 5’7”), and in one of two drivetrains (4×4 and 4×2). It can be powered by either a V6 or a V8.
The Chrysler Pacifica was recently named one of the best cars for a road trip by US News & World Report. In particular, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid design scored an 8.9 out of 10 for its intelligent technologies, excellent handling, capable performance, and — above all — its great fuel economy. You can cruise down the road in the Pacifica and have a truly memorable trip.
The News Wheel notes that there are three trim levels while choosing the Pacifica Hybrid, the Hybrid Touring Plus, Hybrid Touring L, and Hybrid Limited. These models have a 3.6-liter hybrid powertrain as well as an eFlite Si-EVT system, helping it to get a combined EPA-estimated rating of 84 MPGe combined.*
Interior features that keep you comfortable on the road include three-zone automatic climate control to keep everyone happy on your next trip. There’s easy entry to the rear thanks to a sliding second row, as well as a fold-in-floor bench seat to improve storage space. For those who want added luxury, you can also have available ambient lighting, leather trim, and heated front seats.
For those who want to stay connected on the road — or simply keep the kids occupied in the rear seat — standard features like smartphone connectivity allow you to integrate your phones to the in-vehicle system. An easy-to-use Uconnect system with 8.4-inch touch screen allows you to access your favorite apps while driving, while an integrated voice control function lets you keep your hands on the wheel while making calls.
Responsive and efficient, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is deserving of all of the recognition it’s gleaned. Stop by Westpointe Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram to test-drive it for yourself.

In 2017, we all shed tears when the final round of production wrapped up on the world’s last Dodge Viper. But, less than a year later (in fact, some cheeks may not yet have had the chance to dry) there are rumors that the Dodge Viper coming back.
Although the FCA hasn’t released any official announcement, current rumors indicate that the Viper will reappear. The new Viper will have a long hood, continue to utilize independent front and rear suspensions, and will transition from the traditional V-10 to a V-8. Car and Driver reports that the available Viper models will offer various performance levels, with horsepower ranging from 550 to 700.
The first Dodge Viper hit the American streets 1991 with an aluminum alloy V-10 engine designed by Lamborghini, then a subsidiary of the Chrysler Corporation. This first model was a pure miracle of performance — or, an intelligently-designed work of performance perfection. Down to the smallest detail, from the absence of air conditioning to the removal of exterior door handles, the 1991 Viper was created for one thing and one thing only: performance.
We’re excited for the legendary comeback of the Dodge Viper imminent if rumors prove true. Until then, we’re keeping our fingers crossed here at Westpointe Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram that the 2021 model won’t forget its impressive roots.
If you don’t already know, the sequel to the animated superhero movie, “The Incredibles,” is out in theatres. “Incredibles 2” features one of America’s favorite families who pairs up with America’s favorite minivan — the Chrysler Pacifica.
“Incredibles 2” and the Pacifica have two things in common — they’re wildly popular with families, which is likely why Chrysler made the move to partner with Disney and Pixar to create an incredible, movie-inspired promotion for the Pacifica.
The all-new advertisement depicts the super-family behind the wheel of a standard sedan. When they visit Edna Mode, fashion designer to the superheroes, she expresses horror at their vehicle. It’s just not appropriate for the Parrs’ unique lifestyle. Instead, Edna suggests the perfect car for their fast-paced life — the Chrysler Pacifica.
The Chrysler Pacifica isn’t only perfect for superhero families — it’s perfect for every family. Each of the ads focus on the Pacifica’s strong suits — like the available hybrid powertrain that helps make the Pacifica more efficient than ever.
Other features highlighted include the 360-degree surround view camera, which gives a better view when in reverse. Stow n’ Go is another helpful system that allows you to collapse the back seats down under the floor for optimum storage.
