If you don’t already know, the sequel to the animated superhero movie, “The Incredibles,” is out in theatres. “Incredibles 2” features one of America’s favorite families who pairs up with America’s favorite minivan — the Chrysler Pacifica.
“Incredibles 2” and the Pacifica have two things in common — they’re wildly popular with families, which is likely why Chrysler made the move to partner with Disney and Pixar to create an incredible, movie-inspired promotion for the Pacifica.
The all-new advertisement depicts the super-family behind the wheel of a standard sedan. When they visit Edna Mode, fashion designer to the superheroes, she expresses horror at their vehicle. It’s just not appropriate for the Parrs’ unique lifestyle. Instead, Edna suggests the perfect car for their fast-paced life — the Chrysler Pacifica.
The Chrysler Pacifica isn’t only perfect for superhero families — it’s perfect for every family. Each of the ads focus on the Pacifica’s strong suits — like the available hybrid powertrain that helps make the Pacifica more efficient than ever.
Other features highlighted include the 360-degree surround view camera, which gives a better view when in reverse. Stow n’ Go is another helpful system that allows you to collapse the back seats down under the floor for optimum storage.
We all want what is best for our families. If you are shopping for a new minivan, we have a big clue for you—the Chrysler Pacifica is the best. According to the New York Daily News, during the publication’s third annual Auto Awards, it gave the Chrysler Pacifica the title of best minivan for the second year in a row.
The newspaper’s 12 automotive journalists compared various models in a variety of segments to determine which ones they would be willing to recommend to their families, friends, and co-workers.
“Redesigned just last year, the Pacifica is great minivan made even better by the wider availability of its optional plug-in hybrid drivetrain and newly enhanced value equation, and, thus, is a repeat champ,” said Christian Wardlaw, autos editor at New York Daily News.
For the 2018 model year, Chrysler added even more value to the Pacifica, with features like standard Rear Park Assist with automatic braking, as well as Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Buyers also have a choice for more trim levels this year for a total of six: L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited. If you are looking for a hybrid model, there are three trims to consider: Hybrid Touring Plus, Hybrid Touring L, and Hybrid Limited.
Everyone who drives a Jeep® is quick to fall in love with this trustworthy automaker. For years, Jeep® has been considered one of the most iconic American brands thanks to its rugged capabilities, bold styling, and unbeatable fun. Now, the Jeep® brand has officially earned cult brand status with a “2018 Cult Brand” recognition from The Gathering (Society of Cult Brands).
“Other automotive brands have been nominated over the years, but it’s so fitting that Jeep® is the first Cult Brand Honoree. It’s an iconic brand with vehicles that stand apart from any other in the automotive category,” said Chris Kneeland, co-founder of The Gathering and Chair of the Brand Selection Committee.
Jeep® was chosen alongside seven other American staple brands including PlayStation®, Gatorade, Vans®, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, the charitable organization: water, Snickers®, and Beats by Dr. Dre™.
This recognition coincides with the release of the all-new 2018 Jeep® Wrangler and the soon-to-be-released 2019 Jeep® Cherokee. Both models have earned themselves a cult following.
No other automotive brand comes close to the iconic status Jeep® has here in the United States. Its Wrangler model is one of the most recognizable ones on the road today, thanks to its timeless style and powerful capabilities.
Crossovers have become one of the most popular segments among drivers today. With family-friendly features, impressive safety, flexible cargo space, and capable performances, it’s no wonder. These versatile vehicles are suited for a wide range of lifestyles.
Now Chrysler—whose lineup currently consists of luxury sedans and the most impressive Chrysler Pacifica minivan—is ready to join in on the crossover segment, too. This news was announced at the North American International Auto Show by the company’s current CEO, who said that the Chrysler crossover could be expected to arrive in as soon as 18 months.
The new Chrysler crossover will be built on the platform for the Chrysler Pacifica minivan, so we can assume that this will be a spacious three-row crossover. It will likely feature many of the luxurious options and convenient amenities that can be found in the current 2018 Chrysler lineup. And, if it shares more than just a platform with the Chrysler Pacifica, the Chrysler crossover might end up coming in a hybrid version too, which would put it at an advantage in a segment that’s still lacking in hybrid options.
The annual Texas Truck Rodeo took place last November and, once again, Ram, Jeep®, and Dodge vehicles left judges stunned. The Fiat Chrysler subsidiaries drove off with numerous awards, honoring aspects like luxury to practicality. In total, the three brands earned five awards from the Texas Truck Rodeo.
The 2018 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Southfork stole the show and earned the “Luxury Pickup Truck of Texas” award. It also took home the highest overall interior score. The 2018 Ram 2500 Limited Tungsten was awarded the “Heavy Duty Pickup Truck of Texas” title.
With a reputation for off-road excellence, it’s only natural Jeep® took home a handful of awards across its lineup. The 2017 Jeep® Renegade was named “Subcompact SUV of Texas.” The 2017 Jeep® Grand Cherokee Trailhawk followed suit, taking the title of “Mid-size SUV of Texas.”
We at Westpointe CDJR expected nothing less than excellence from the 2017 Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon Recon, and it delivered. The Wrangler Rubicon Recon scored big with the “Off-road SUV of Texas” award.
For years, Dodge has been a top competitor when it comes to performance, so it’s only natural the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT stole a top prize. It was named the “Full-size SUV of Texas”. On top of that, it earned the highest overall score for performance.

When the Chrysler Pacifica was first introduced in the 2017 model year, it was immediately evident that this minivan was going to change parents’ standards for family travel. It offered tons of thoughtful features, like an in-cabin vacuum cleaner and flexible seating for easy access and versatile cargo space. Plus, the debut of this van also brought about the first hybrid minivan: the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid model.
With all of that in mind, it’s been no surprise to the team at Westpointe CDJR to see this hybrid minivan receive several honors during the award season. For one, Green Car Reports—a publication that focuses on hybrid, electric, and fuel-efficient options—chose the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid as the “2018 Best Car to Buy.” The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid was also chosen by The Car Connection as the “2018 Best Hybrid Vehicle to Buy.” The Car Connection also chose the regular Chrysler Pacifica as the “2018 Best Minivan to Buy.”
Other recent Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid awards include best buy recognition from Consumer Guide® Automotive.
With its excellent mile range, its considerate family-friendly features, and its outstanding safety, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is really an amazing option for family travel. See for yourself when you drive one at Westpointe CDJR.
It’s that time of year again. There’s snow, lights, carolers, and a range of holiday events. In fact, Oklahoma City is home to a range of activities and celebrations at the end of the year, many of which are perfect for families and friends. You can ice skate, spend time with Santa, or simply enjoy the holiday atmosphere. There’s a long list of holiday events in Oklahoma City that you should attend this year.
One of the top events in OKC is Downtown in December. Presented by Devon, Downtown in December is actually a series of events that extends over several weeks. For example, you can spend Saturdays with Santa in in the heart of downtown, see the tree lighting festival, shop at the deluxe winter market, or skate at the Devon Ice Rink. You can follow the events through the hashtag #DowntownInDecember.
Art lovers will enjoy the Oklahoma City Ballet. You can see holiday favorites like The Nutcracker, a classic performance made famous by the music of Tchaikovsky. Directed by Robert Mills, the OKC Ballet has been recognized by The Wall Street Journal, Dance magazine, and Playbill.
The ballet and Downtown in December are just two fun things that we at Westpointe CDJR recommend this winter.
Thanksgiving is the time of year that families around the country gather to celebrate their blessings. There are a number of things to do this Thanksgiving in Oklahoma City, as there are multiple seasonal events for families, couples, and individuals. There’s truly something for everyone this Turkey Day in our neighborhood.
According to Metro Family Magazine, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through November 26th, there will be fall family wagon rides and cookouts at the Honey Lee Ranch. This includes a campfire, s’mores, and more. There will be registration beforehand, as well as two ride times: 6:30pm and 7:00pm.
There’s also a free Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops, offering arts and crafts, activities, giveaways, and, naturally, the jolly man himself. There will be a complete list of events on the store website, and the wonderland will be up from November 11th to December 24th. Be sure to plan your visit with the kids.
Finally, there will be a number of 5Ks this Thanksgiving, especially on November 23rd. The Edmond Turkey Trot will be a 5K with an optional one-mile Family Wobble, and you’re also encouraged to bring dogs (on leashes). The OKC Turkey Tracks 5K will be in downtown OKC starting at 8:30am, and there will be a Turkey Day 5K at Normal High School benefiting the Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity.
These are just a few fun things to do this Thanksgiving with friends and family. We at Westpointe CDJR are glad the holidays are finally here again.
Our appreciation of the sophisticated Chrysler lineup at Westpointe CDJR is no mystery. Therefore, it makes sense that we would get a kick out of spotting Chryslers in films! Here are a few instances where you can spot a Chrysler vehicle on the big screen.
The Great Dictator (1940)
Charlie Chaplin fans may remember spotting a 1932 Chrysler Imperial Convertible in Chaplin’s satirical—and at the time controversial—film The Great Dictator, which makes fun of Nazi Germany.
The Hangover Part III (2013)
In the third film in this comedy trilogy, the Wolfpack gang is at it again. In one part of the movie, their minivan—a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country—gets rammed off the road by a semi-truck. Of course, any proud driver of the Town & Country would never stand for this in real life. But in The Hangover Part III, this leads the Wolfpack to be taken hostage, steering the film in a wild plot direction.
If you’ve ever been curious about what Chrysler will look like in the future, check out Logan, the final film in the Wolverine segment starring Hugh Jackman. The film depicts a 2024 Chrysler E8. Obviously, that car doesn’t exist (yet?) but it’s fun to imagine a long limousine version of the Chrysler 300.
Did you know that Chrysler vehicles played an important role in each of these movies? Check out which Chrysler models had starring roles.
Jackman’s final Wolverine film took a darker spin on the superhero genre, centering on a road trip involving Wolverine (whose actual name is Logan), Professor X, and a young mutant girl. The road trip in question takes place in the future, featuring a “2024 Chrysler E8,” which is simply an elongated Chrysler 300.
St. Vincent (2014)
The events that kick off the plot of this film—in which Bill Murray plays a Vietnam vet named Vincent that befriends a woman and her young son—begin with a car crash that results in him meeting the boy’s mother. Vincent’s car involved in the crash is a 1984 Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country Convertible.
The Hangover Part III (2013)
The “Wolfpack” returns for another zany adventure, in which they get behind the wheel of a minivan—a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country.
It’s a collection of four different interrelated stories taking place in Morocco, Japan, the US, and Mexico. The Mexico story follows a nanny driving the children she watches to Tijuana in a 1988 Chrysler New Yorker.
The Great Dictator (1940)
Charlie Chaplin made waves with this satire of Nazi Germany, in which he played both Hitler and a Jewish barber. The latter, at one point, disguises himself as Hitler and drives off in a 1932 Chrysler Imperial Convertible.
You can see many Chryslers in movies if you keep your eyes open; they cover a variety of genres and show off several different segments from the brand.
