Spring Maintenance Tips

With the spring season right around the corner, there’s a lot you need to think about, including spring cleaning and car maintenance. Here are some car maintenance tips for spring.

Swap Out Windshield Wipers

Since the spring season can come with a lot of rain, you should swap out your car’s wipers. Wipers can experience a lot of wear in the winter due to ice and snow, so make sure that they’re ready to go for the spring.

Check Tire Pressure

You’ll need your car’s tires to keep you going, so check the pressure of all tires to make sure they’re sitting at the ideal 30 – 32 psi. It’s best to check your owner’s manual for your car’s recommended psi. Properly-inflated tires increase your car’s traction on the road and keep you safe, especially in the rainy season.

Spring Clean

Give your car a spring clean for the season! A car wash and wax can help remove the grime and salt that has collected on your car throughout the winter while a wax can protect the paint. Vacuum out the interior of your car as well to get any salt or dirt that has collected there.

Check The Air Filter

Your car’s air filter is responsible for improving engine performance. If the air filter is clogged, it can cause up to a whopping 10 percent decrease in gas mileage.
