The 2020 Jeep®Gladiator pickup truck was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month, and it’s already proving that it’ll be the talk of the new model year.
The Gladiator will feature a 3.6-liter Pentastar engine paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission or an available eight-speed automatic. This powertrain will deliver 285 horsepower and 260lb-ft of torque. Each trim will feature standard four-wheel drive. According to Jeep®, the Gladiator will be capable of carrying a 1,600-pound payload and towing up to 7,650 pounds.
In 2020, the Gladiator will add a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine to its lineup. This engine will offer 260 horsepower and a mighty 442 lb-ft of torque.
The Gladiator’s look is based on the popular Wrangler. In back, the 5-foot steel bed will offer ample conveniences, like a three-position tailgate, under-rail bed lighting, a 115-volt power outlet, and integrated tie downs. In front, the Gladiator will sport a commanding seven-slot grille and attention-grabbing square headlights.
The Gladiator will be well-equipped to go off-road, offering 11.1 inches of ground clearance, skid plates, locking axles, and a limited-turbocharged diesel. The Rubicon trim will add even more off-road features.
Stay tuned in the coming months for more details on this exciting new Jeep® pickup.
